This December, Phish returns to Madison Square Garden in New York, New York for a four-show Holiday/NYE Run to close out 2012. The band has played 23 shows to date at MSG. For the first time ever, the floor at these four Madison Square Garden shows will be general admission.
An online ticket request period is currently underway at tickets.phish.com/ and will end Monday, October 15 at Noon EST.
This Tuesday, September 25, Phish will release “December 6, 1997, The Palace of Auburn Hills, Auburn Hills MI” as the next remastered show to join the ongoing LivePhish Archives collection. The show will be available as a download at LivePhish.com and as a 2-CD LivePhish Limited set exclusively from Phish Dry Goods. The release was created from Paul Languedoc’s DAT stereo soundboard mix remastered by Fred Kevorkian and contains 16 songs totaling two and a half hours of music.
Phish’s third show at The Palace on December 6, 1997 was yet another defining fall ’97 gig, with an under-recognized set I and a renowned set II that must be heard in one sitting, preferably loud with headphones.
Jon Fishman will be performing for three nights in NYC on October 26-28 with Everyone Orchestra at Sullivan Hall. Fishman, John Kadlecik, Reed Mathis and Jamie Masefield will be the core band for all three nights. Tickets are on sale now.
Traveler, Trey Anastasio’s forthcoming solo album, is available now for pre-order at Trey’s store and Phish Dry Goods. The album will be released on October 16 on Rubber Jungle Records / ATO Records. Trey co-produced the album with Peter Katis (The National, Interpol, Jonsi) last fall in Katis’ Tarquin Studios in Bridgeport, CT.

Page McConnell will perform on keyboards with The Meter Men for two nights at New York’s BB King Blues Club on October 31st and November 1st. They will also perform November 2nd at The Howard Theatre in Washington, DC. The Metermen features three original members of The Meters, including drummer Zigaboo Modeliste, guitarist Leo Nocentelli and bassist George Porter, Jr.

On Saturday July 7th SiriusXM Jam ON will simulcast Phish’s entire live performance from the site of the band’s three-night stand to end the first leg of Summer Tour 2012. Concert coverage starts at 6 PM with a special pre-show ‘From The Archives’, hosted by Phish archivist Kevin Shapiro. Kevin will dig into Phish’s collection to play exclusive, unreleased material from the band’s career, leading up to a complete concert performance broadcast live on Sirius XM’s Jam ON.
